How to help pregnant wife with anxiety?
Recently the rental home my wife and i reside in was robbed while my wife was home.Our dog was stabbed , all electronics tv...etc,wife's expensive bags and all my wife's jewelry. I am worried for my wife's well being because she is home alone for most of the day because shes about 5 months pregnant and is suffering from anxiety problems since the incident.She was having difficulty with pregnancy before the robbery dealing with pretty bad morning sickness and exhaustion so she started working from home mostly but her stress levels are at a max.During the robbery my wife was locked into a closet and stayed there for 2 hrs because i work late in NYC .She feels the incident could have been avoided had i not been working at night but the restaurant i work at requires i work late evening on certain nights(im a sous chef).I am also being blamed for being cheap because i picked the area we are living in because it had one of the lowest property taxes (nj expensive) in the area she from and was 15-20 mins away from her parents house .I did not consider the areas so so reputation because i was conserned about money.We orginally comprimised to renting in the area to see how we liked it instead of purchasing but she is insisting we move asap reguardless of our lease. Please help how do i make my wife happy and less stressed.
P.S i am working on getting out of the lease but its day to day stuff im having trouble with?
Her parents house is in a very nice area but taxes will run you 10,000 dollars in some cases. Smaller homes are 6,000 dollars in taxes but my wife wants to buy in that area ASAP before baby is born. House we rent in is in same county she grew up in but shes unsatisfied

Well, first off I'm really sorry to hear that happened. That is a very traumatizing event, and I can't imagine what you and your wife must be going through. I was pregnant two times and let me tell you it's an emotional roller coaster ride from hell! Women can't control there emotions to begin with then to have horomones kick in is more than a human being can take! Lol so your wife is flipping because, one, she was obviously traumatized by being locked in a flippin closet, anyone would be, and two, she is scared for her life, because she is pregnant and unable to defend herself if it were to happen again (God forbid) So, the first thing is about not who is right or wrong about where you live, but just fixing it right away, If she is uncomfortable living in an area such as this, the best thing would be to move for her safety and both of your sanity. If she is unhappy about you staying late at work, and you have no other job choices, (like obviously you can't just quit your job and just get another one right away...lol) have some of your friends and/or family come over in the evening and spend time with her, that way she is not alone and scared, and she will have company to lift her spirits and have her in a good mood. Do like a little dinner party thing, or they can come over play some games or something..just family and friends to past and make better the time. And the next time you move, check out the area, regardless if it's cheap or expensive...you never know. So try to get out of the lease asap, get some more family involved with her to keep her busy and happy, and just ask her day to day, "what can i do today to make it better?" or "what can i do to make you more happy today?" my hubby does this for me too, so I'm not stressed or overwhelmed, and that should help with the day to day, sorry this is so long i just know exactly what your going through and i want to give an honest and through answer! =)

What's the cost of living like in Maryland?
I live and work for the government in NJ but they are moving the base down to Aberdeen, MD. I was just curious to hear from people who live down there what the cost of living was like. Is it cheaper than in NJ? What are the property taxes like? What is the average home price here and what kind of houses are they...size wize. Where's the best area to live in near the water or within 20 min. from the water, what are my options. Anything else you can think of telling me would be greatly appreciated
